A link is the connection between your firm and one company you back. It is what carries assessments to you.
Inviting
From Companies and invites, invite the company by email. The company accepts, and from then on their published assessments appear in your console.
Two things worth knowing:
- The company has to accept. A link is not something a sponsor can assert unilaterally, because publication has to be the company's act for the boundary to mean anything.
- A company held through several funds counts once. You are linking to a company, not to a holding structure.
What counts against your plan
Your plan caps active links plus outstanding invitations together. An invitation nobody has accepted still occupies a slot, so cancel invitations that have gone stale rather than leaving them to fill the plan.
Your plan also includes a number of investor users — people at your firm who read, analyze, comment on or manage portfolio posture. The portfolio companies' own people are never counted: they are the ones producing the assessments the console reads, and billing for them would be billing for the data.
Current usage for both is on Portfolio → Subscription.
Carrying a diligence baseline across
If the company was assessed in a Percomb project, the approved baseline can be carried into the portfolio link when the project closes, so the hold period starts from the diligence conclusions rather than from a blank page. The findings arrive with their ratings and their evidence dates intact.
Unlinking
Unlinking stops future publication reaching you and keeps what was already published, since that is part of your own record of the investment.
